چکیده

We experimentally demonstrate that time-resolved measurements of broad spatial patterns transmitted through an optically heterogeneous medium retain their temporal characteristics providing robust signals for efficient decoupling of optical properties and allowing fast quantitative high-resolution reconstruction. ©2010 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (170.6920) Time-resolved imaging; (110.0113) Imaging through turbid media

Multiple-view diffuse optical tomography system based on time-domain compressive measurements.

Compressive sensing is a powerful tool to efficiently acquire and reconstruct an image even in diffuse optical tomography (DOT) applications. In this work, a time-resolved DOT system based on structured light illumination, compressive detection, and multiple view acquisition has been proposed and experimentally validated on a biological tissue-mimicking phantom. The experimental scheme is based...

Time-to-Digital Converter card for multichannel time-resolved Single-Photon Counting applications

We present a high performance Time-to-Digital Converter (TDC) card that provides 10 ps timing resolution and 20 ps (rms) timing precision with a programmable full-scale-range from 160 ns to 10 μs. Differential Non-Linearity (DNL) is better than 1.3% LSB (rms) and Integral Non-Linearity (INL) is 5 ps rms. Thanks to the low power consumption (400 mW) and the compact size (78 mm x 28 mm x 10 mm), ...

Time-resolved Optical Imaging with Patterned Light for Pre-clinical Studies

We investigated the performance of the time-gated Diffuse Optical Tomography based on Monte Carlo model with patterned wide-field illumination on a mouse model. The reconstructions outperform classical punctual excitation schemes for similar data sizes. ©2010 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (170.3010) Image reconstruction techniques; (170.6920) Time-resolved imaging; (170.6960) Tomograph...

Performance of the Wavelet Transform-Neural Network Based Receiver for DPIM in Diffuse Indoor Optical Wireless Links in Presence of Artificial Light Interference

Artificial neural network (ANN) has application in communication engineering in diverse areas such as channel equalization, channel modeling, error control code because of its capability of nonlinear processing, adaptability, and parallel processing. On the other hand, wavelet transform (WT) with both the time and the frequency resolution provides the exact representation of signal in both doma...
